Had an eye appt. today...mixed news.

My eye appointment today had mixed results. On the good side, no more eye drops. Which saves me a $65 copay on one drop and like $40 on the other. So that's nice. Plus I don't have to remember to put in those stupid drops every day.

The Bad: The cataract in my left eye is getting worse. It will need surgery at some point. Sooner being better than later, but which means 3-6 weeks out of the office. I guess in some sense that's good too, since it lets me run down my PTO which I need to do. But I have a hard enough time trying to schedule just a few days or a week off. A block like 3-6 weeks will get complicated with regards to the work schedule. Maybe something like TDI is a better option, but I'm not sure yet. The first step is to get in touch with the doctor who did my last cataract surgery and the go from there. I'll do that soon.

Mixed: I have glaucoma. It isn't critical but it's there. Not exactly sure what to make of that yet. Maybe I move to Cali and get a Rx for medical marijuana? Or maybe I just make lots of sarcastic jokes. I don't know. It doesn't seem to be a critical issue, so maybe I'm worrying for no good reason just yet. It's just weird to have that looming on the horizon. To know about it ahead of time and wait seems wrong...oh well. Something to think about.
